Hello

Hello, I’m Helen — the photographer behind Helen Jaman Equine Photography.

Horses have always been the place where I feel most grounded and most myself.

A natural meeting point between a lifelong connection to horses and many years working as a photographer.

I’ve spent time caring for horses hands-on — grooming, tending to herds, foaling mares, and supporting competition horses behind the scenes. These experiences shaped the way I see horses: not just as subjects, but as individuals with presence, sensitivity, and story.

My work centres on connection. The quiet moments between horse and human, the trust, familiarity, and unspoken language they share. Whether photographed in the paddock, at home, or during an event, my approach is calm, respectful, and story-led.

I work across all disciplines and partnerships — from dressage and showjumping to paddock companions, therapy horses, and much-loved retirees. Every bond deserves to be documented with care.

While I continue to work with selected lifestyle and brand clients, my equine photography now lives in its own dedicated space.
