Homes of the Hills

Homes of the Hills is an online journal dedicated to showcasing the unique homes nestled in the hills of the Dandenong Ranges and the wonderful people that live in them.

My name is Helen, I am a Photographer based in Sassafras with a passion for storytelling through my lens.

My love for photography and my fascination with the homes in our local community has inspired me to create “Homes of the Hills.

So many of the local homes have beautiful character and charm, my mission through this project is to capture the essence of each home via beautiful imagery and a question based interview which will form the narrative revealing the story behind each home.
