The Feeling of Horses

Whilst working through this series I've come to realise that I'm not simply photographing horses.

I'm photographing the feeling they leave with me.

Over the years, horses have quietly taught me far more than I ever expected.

They have taught me about trust without words.

About patience without expectation.

About strength that never needs to prove itself.

And about the extraordinary peace that can be found when we simply slow down and allow ourselves to be fully present.

Some of the most meaningful photographs in this collection were never planned. They came from time spent simply being with horses—observing, waiting, listening, and allowing moments to unfold naturally. In those moments, I wasn't searching for a photograph. I was experiencing a connection.

I've realised that what moves me isn't their beauty alone.

It's their honesty.

Horses don't pretend to be anything other than who they are. They don't dwell on yesterday or worry about tomorrow. They live completely in the present moment, and when we meet them there, something quietly changes within us.

Every photograph in this collection is a reflection of a moment shared between two living beings—one behind the camera, one standing quietly before it.

The Feeling of Horses is my attempt to preserve those moments.

Not simply as photographs, but as memories.

Each image holds a story. A quiet encounter. A lesson. A feeling that has remained with me long after the moment has passed.

It is my hope that as you move through this collection, you feel it too.
